    Default Sanyo 42 inch lcd led black lines during movies

    Hi, Have recently pruchased the Sanyo 42 inch led lcd tv, and am watching movies on it and am finding i am seeing black lines appear through my movies. I am wondering what is causing this. It doesnt happen while watching tv.

    do you have it connected to dvd using rca (yellow, red white) or HDMI 1 large flat connector?
    When I explained to the guy what avatar I wanted, that wasn't what I meant!

    Its not affecting watching dvd movies, its movies i have downloaded, not all movies are like that, but am finding alot are, they all worked on my previous tv.

    What are you playing them from and how is that device connected to the screen?

    Eg: type of cable used, as asked.

    Is the playing device and the screen matched for resolution settings?

    I am playing the movies off of an external hard drive it is connected to the back of my set top box, i never had any problems with my previous tv with these movies

    These black lines aren't at the top or sides by any chance are they?

    they run through the middle i think, its not on all movies just some, my previous tv was a plasma and they worked fine so i dont know what it is with the led lcd

    they are kinda like faded black lines

    going to need the model of tv, the make and model of stb

    what I think your seeing is a little HDCP getting through the stb, it maybe the new led tv is HDCP compliant and the stb is not completely stripping the signal of HDCP
    When I explained to the guy what avatar I wanted, that wasn't what I meant!
