There are about 20 5.5 bootloaders, that's why there are more digits to the version number.
Your problem is the missing CF support in newer Navcores, check the one I gave you in the last posting.
    Or keep trying other Navcores....

The bootloader is 5.5274. The navcore I use now is 8.413. The CF card I've build in is the Transcend 32 GB Premium (400x). With this combination the 910 has been working perfectly over about 1,5 year now. I don't think it's the CF card that's causing the problems. The 9 navcores are working, but only with the smaller maps without cspeech and speedcamera files. I thought it could have a relation with the cspeech en speedcamera files; so I took the files out of the map. But that didn't work too. I tried your navcore allready but with that one I couldn't even get in a map; it only boots up in a loop. I found one on the internet (a full package, specially for the 910; "Navcore_9.134_Go910") that works, but only with the smaller maps too. This navcore isn't getting in een booting loop; with the not working maps it just boots up untill the maps choosing screen. But I can't figure out why the problems occur with the bigger maps; is it a memory problem? I've tried it allready with or without the outsourced folder; but that doesn't seems to have any effect. Or do you still think it has got something to do with the CF card? Or maybe, that's what I'm thinking of now, could it be caused by the mp3's? I've got a lot of mp3's on it and with the starting of a map it starts categorising those mp3's. Is that right? Couldn't that cause the problem? Maybe I can try to rename the mp3 folder, to see if it has got an effect. But yesterday evening I changed back to my older configuration. So maybe, when I've got the energy :-) I'll trie it. But if that's causing the problem, that would have the effect that I can't play mp3's with the internal player in combination with navigation (I've got Tomplayer; but that's only working standalone).

    Give a try.
I changed the kernel and included a "rescue bootloader".

Do a hard reset (hold reset for 30+sec), use the TT Clear Flash Tool.
Now simply overwrite your working! Navcore with the new NC (unpack first of course ).
After the start it will reboot, that is the bootloader installing.
Now you are back to the much more compatible 5.5120.
It will show up as "0", if you want to change that delete the file "system" and rename "system-5.5120" to "system" - reboot.
The NC is more or less a backup as I included the TTS files (except voices), ASR and all the other stuff excluding the screenshot function.

I don't understand you; can a bootloader be downgraded?? And I don't understand your suggestion. An older bootloader that was suggested for the x10 = 5.5242 and not the bootloader you're suggesting. That's the bootloader 5.5120 is for the x20 and the x30.

If you don't like my suggestion keep your setup, I'm just trying to help.
You BL is messed up as you should have a 7.9NV running which can't include your BL.
    Never touch a running system
5.5120 supports SDHC, 5.5128 would be fine too, 5.5274 is only for those devices that use this NC by default.
5.5242 is not older than the 5.5120.
So again, take it or leave it - your choice.

    Wink

thank you underunder, it took me a while to find the correct button on that website to click on LOL

good stuff, I have been using your memory boost version 9.450 for a while on my old ONE v3 device; it was boosting a little bit slowly but once in the menu, it works like a genius

wonder if there is any update release info for this version, interested to know what's new on this 9.485 compare to 9.450

Nothing really, you can make a backup and overwrite with the 9.485 but I doubt you'll notice much difference.
However the 9.485 has better MB features on small devices but thats only related to the creation of the stuff I do with tools and not because TT does it

Interestingly enough, 9.485 memoryboost turn out to be super fast on start-up. With 9.450 memoryboost on my ONE v3, it took normally 10-15 sec. to load before I can see the menu and the available memory was around 6M. Under this current version, it is almost instant to start up (less than 3 sec.) and the memory available is 7.5M more or less.

Not sure if I did anything wrong with 9.450........

Not really it just works different and mainly in the background.
Instead of creating one big swap file at start up, only files that could be needed are loaded, so for devices without BT there will be no BT files kept in memory.
Downside is that on very long routes the device can get stuck if you decide to go off the planned route, but that only happened a few times so far and I could not rectify it.

Since I can't update the first posting:

This version is for all X10 models that have problems using a different version/Navcore.
With the V9 NC's and the 900 maps users reported that their devices won't accept the map or freeze.
The above version should fix that problem
Ithe instructions are the same except that I included a 5.5120 bootloader because many users ended up with incompatible versions during their tries.
If you still use an untouched TT with the 7.9 NC and never played with other Navcores rename the file "system-5.5120" to "system" and reboot.
In case your BL is already higher than 5.5128 you rename the "system-0" to "system" - this will downgrade your bootloader to the 5.5120 but it will show as zero, follow the previous step to get the version number to 5.5120.
A full Loquendo system is included with the English Kate and US Susan.
Inside the folder "ephem" you'll find a program to update the QuickFix data without the need to start Home.

Added a worry free installer that includes all the above versions.
Simply download and start the EXE - there is no Virus or malware in it (but feel free to check anyway !
Depending on the speed of your system it will take a few seconds to unpack the temp files and start the installer, so be patient.

Hi Downunder. It is impossible to download from Filefactory. A lot of trojan Horses on my Eset scanner, constantly. Is it not possible to reload it in a alt.binaries newsgroup. As example alt.binaries.boneless or some other newsgroup? Thank you very much.

Downloading from FF is straight forward, if end up with that other crap you click on ads not download links, use Jdownloader or a torrent client if in doubt.
I provided all sorts of download now, so options are available...

    Hi Downunder;

I am back again. I have another TomTom device and can go testing again. Now I have a TomTomXL august 2008. I have installed the new version and have installed is as Go 730. And I am testing it allready for 1 week now. I can say that it works as a charm. I have deleted the TTS voices. The device freezes when using TTS voice. Allso I have removed the ASR map. Realy a great job again Downunder. It works smooth and without hickups. Thank you very much.

I have installed bootloader 5.5136. The device did not react good with this navcore with bootloader 5.5022

    Hi Downunder;

I am testing again. I test every day in my car.

I have installed it on a OneXL IQ routes. Works perfect. Normally you can't get TTS voices working on this device, but with your Navcore it works.
I have installed in on GO750. Works fantastic for 2 weeks now.
I Have installed on TomTomXL august 2008. Works fantastic for 1 week now.

So I can say again, that you did a great jog again. Thank you very much.
