    My suggestions are:
    1. Research interesting topics in your niche and note them down in a file
    2. Write articles base on those topics
    3. Use a free service like Hootsuite to schedule the posts
    4. Log in to your FB page and reply to any message
    5. Promote your fan page on your site, paid ads etc
    I hope this help.

I think a lot also has to do with the type of business.

But I do think that informational posts that engage readers are a great hit. Add an interesting, eye catching photo and give your fans valuable information and they will keep coming back. Not every post has to point back to your site - that is just annoying. Give me interesting things to read, good information and I will keep coming back. But if you make it plain to me that all you want from me is my money, I'll go elsewhere.

Well, to maintain a facebook fan page isn't an easy bout but depending on the way we look at things what's really easy?

However, to start with what I think could help, I suppose you are trying to build a Facebook fan page perhaps to convert some traffic over to your site. Now, to start with you don't need to be linking your every of your posts to your website at the initial stages, it's absolute NO NO NO!!! Also, don't use some app to forward every posts from your rss to your fan page. That makes it look like a spammy page.

OKay, before starting a page you've to understand what Facebook people like; I've seen that Facebook people tend to like something fun might be jokes, Politics(present happenings, facts and conspiracy theories), Religion and Entertainment news. After you've analysed which of these is/are related to the purpose of your creation, then you can go on and create the page. I would advice you to update the page at least twice everyday with new and fresh content. Although, it could be

When you are on Facebook, you aren't dealing with consumers; you are dealing with people, with friends. Treat them as such. Post relevant, valuable content that they can use. Link every third post back to your site, but not in an overly marketing way.

    1. Stay active. No one wants to like a dead facebook page.
    2. Invite your friends so you can be more familiar with your fans
    3. Host some events. Show that you actually care about your friends and fans.
    4. Have fun along the way
    5. DON'T ####ing pay to promote your Facebook page. Work harder.

You can really create a popular page by appealing to the masses. Pages about celebrity breasts and Hollywood scandals, are widely popular in the states. Basically, if you appeal to the lowest possible denominator, your chances of success are high. If you plan on including paid advertisement, make sure you select adds that are colorful. People are attracted to shiny objects.

I have a friend who sets up web sites and FaceBook pages for a living. Apparently, most business people just don't "get" FaceBook. No matter how much she tells them that FB is a conversation with the customers and that it needs to be constantly fed new and interesting material, most think that once it has been set up, that's it - no more to do. Then they complain that it's not bringing them new business... but they haven't posted a thing since she created the page. Out of 50 or so businesses she had helped, only 2 were actually posting stuff on FaceBook!

Well, it depends on what fan page you have. I would say make sure you keep your fan page updated so your followers will come to visit and read your posts. I would say post something g new at least four times a week to keep up the number of followers. There's no other way to keep it up besides you have to constantly update the fan page and keep it new. Readers will also come to your fan page if you have interesting topics and posts.

First of all post regularly on your page regarding the topics you are dedicated to. Then find relevant groups on FB and join them, post updates in the group so that a large no. of people can be reached. Post replies to the comments on your page.

Given this thread was started over 4 years ago with no activity for over 2 years, it's pointless reviving it now.
