toshiba satellite DVD region problem

hi, i bought a new toshiba satellite laptop a few months ago mainly to be able to watch DVD's on. However It now wont let me watch anything but the last region I watched (4).

It appears to have locked itself to that region. It did give me warning that it was about to do this but I had no choice.

Now I can only watch some of my DVD's on it.

How can I fix it?

you can run a software patch to get over it...
