ps3 60gb graphics artifacts problem

Got a ps3 60gb thats having some issues after playing for about 15-30mins the screen starts going green and starts doing matrix and freezes up, and then when you go to turn it back on and the red light just flashes.Just wondering would a reflow fix the problem or is the gpu chip pretty much fried.

Also does anyone know where i can buy liquid no clean flux in melbourne.

Sounds like the classic YLOD sysmpton...can be reflowed but will probably do the same down the track...if its a FAT your better off selling it for spares & get a Slim.

Jaycar have no clean flux paste, about $20 for a syringe that will last for ages.

You will need a reflow cheap alternative with fan mod if done properly you should get 6 months to 1 year or if you want the job done right then reball the unit as there fetching big buxs at the moment.

if you game enough and do it your self with heat gun which i don't advise you can get 50ml of no clean liquid flux what you need for $15.00 from Ozchips paste is only good for around the edges of the gpu.
