    Default slim ps2 scph-77002 fuse

I got a ps2 here, the disc is not spinning, tried replacing another drive still the same.
Can someone tell me which fuse should I be looking at, if it's actually a fuse problem.

any other symptoms? is it chipped? If so who did it?
a bit more info needed as a laser in a console that new should be fine!

no other symtom, not chip, it's still a virgin.
yeh i think the laser is still good, but the disc is not spinning, that's y i'm assuming it's a fuse.

no usually when no spinning its due to either a non focusing laser, a stuffed spindle hub or drive chip(usually blows laser with it too) is fubar'd.

Doubt very much if fuse is stuffed.

Does the laser eye look dirty??

Just wondering if the problem occured after the console was opened while you were repairing another problem or something first? If it just stopped spinning on its own and the console wasnt opened for another other reason then I would suspect the laser is worn first (Especially if the console was used for long periods everday or was bought second hand) Can you shed some more light on the problem and the console, What happened prior to it being opened - For example, Were you going to mod it for example then changed your mind and reassembled it and then the problem occured? Also have you done much repairing of PS2,s before now?

    got it fixed now.
mikc was right, it's not the fuse.
and it wasn't the lens either.
just a silly problem that i never expected.
the DVD Snake Motor fell off it's track, so just a small push and it's all good now.

in other words the laser couldn't focus, so it was a laser related.

Not surprising Mick that some who post wonder why they never receive answers Good manners and common courtesy were still free when I last looked...
