    Default Watts Clever EW4009

I recently had installed a 15 panel 3Kw solar system, at the same time I invested in a Wireless Solar energy monitoring system.

Every thing is installed and up and running but I really am (because I can be incredibly obtuse when I really try) struggling with the placement of the sensor clamps.

    So, my questions become,
    1. Has any one else here installed this or a similar system, and can they help?
    2. Is there a definitive guide to the placement of the sensors, and if so has it been documented.?
    3. From the instructions below, how to I define what is the Consumption side

    The instructions provided state;

    How to install
This solar energy monitor will need to be installed by a qualified electrician in most cases. To successfully use this monitor you will need to be able to completely isolate your ‘household consumption’ from ‘solar production’ at your meter board. This is an example of how the unit can be installed:

The “HOUSE” sensor/transmitter should be installed on the consumption only side of the main power switch at your meter board. If this can be done, it will only pick up your consumption – it doesn’t matter whether that consumption is being supplied by the solar panels or the grid.
Next, the “SOLAR” sensor/transmitter is installed on the AC ‘output’ side of the inverter. It will measure solar PV production.
Finally, the display screen calculates a NET value of the above readings and will show you the approximate amount of power being exported to or imported from the grid.

Can any one supply pictures or a 'How to??'
    Thanks

In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Wink Mains installations best left to Qualified Electricians.

That my friend is the whole crux of the matter.
The provider will want the installation signed off by by a Qualified Electrician.
Very few, if any, would risk their ticket to sign off an unqualified person's installation.

That I'm afraid, is different to a Satellite Dish Installation.

Thanks for your input but as I said everything has been installed, what I didn't add was that everything has been signed off on. The solar company, the provider indeed everyone who had the slightest opportunity to slug me another dollar has been in and given everything a cursory once over and signed off on it.

All thats left now is the placement of two sensor clamps within an existing wiring loom.

OK, I've had a look and it seems you only clamp on the input and output looms.

Anyway with much angst and great expense to the Management, see if these PDF files help you.
From different servers due to problems.
