Hi folks,
I've just been given the job to maintain a current site that's running php.
It's been a few years since I did ANY web work at all, so even my HTML is going to be rusty.
I'm sure I'll pick it up quickly enough, but I need a few starting pointers.
First off, there are some things to change on the site. Some of the text is no longer valid or needs alteration - people's names and a few numbers here and there.
There's a few photos that need to be taken down, and a few new ones to put up.
I'm guessing I just open an FTP to the site, download the pages concerned, edit them then upload them again. Am I right?

Should be about it.
Just copy the original as a backup if its anything major, it is easy to muck things up when you are rusty and havent done things for a while.
It occured to me while I was out shopping that the images are often in a folder of their own apart from the HTML.
Make sure to put them in the right place.
For most of my life, I lived a delusion
1.As Mentioned do site backup
2.Don't delete file rename it (you can alway resort back by renaming to original name)
3.Pictures are in picture folder or image folder generally
4.Make sure file names are correct and pointing to the right path.
