    I think they are playing games, "I've got a secret", it's all about creating interest & controversy, both good publicity mechanisms.

    Either they found something or they didn't. Just say so.

    They found a German V2 rocket from WW2 .
    While it shook the (Martian) earth upon impact it didn't explode because gravity is 1/3 of ours and it landed in soft dust.

    They are waiting if they can make it look like something that came from the USA before they have to admit defeat.
    Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.
    Compatibility: A word soon to be deleted from our dictionaries as it is outdated.
    Humans: Entities that are not only outdated but broken... AI-self-learning-update-error...terminate...terminate...
