Default Triumph rocket 3 - Stage 3 Supercharger kit.......

rather than hijack the 'Don Benosee' thread I thought I would start another one as there has been some interest in the bike...

I purchased the bike from a bloke in perth, it was fitted with a 'stage 1' supercharger kit.
basically a stock motor with a rotrex supercharger and ecu remap to suit.
Bike had 242 rwhp when i purchased it.

After talking to richard from TTS in silverstone, i decided to upgrade to the stage 3 kit.

Just got it back this morning after the upgrade.

Mods: JE racing pistons, custom cams, inter cooler/radiator (all part of the stage 3 upgrade)
: adjustable cam sprockets, EFM Auto clutch.

motor was carefully assembled with proper ring end gaps etc. and cams dialled in.

The blue silicone hoses are temporary to run it in, the bottom one is not the right angle and is restricting airflow....

When it is run in I will fit the pingel auto shift kit and Dyno tune it.

The auto clutch takes a bit of getting used to....

    Expecting around 400 rwhp.

Bike has power everywhere, no lag and you can still tootle around at 40kmh in top gear and the bike will pull away cleanly, just like a stock one.

For the non bikers, the bike is a 2300cc triple - or 140 cubic inches for those that only speak Harley....

I thought my T595 daytona was a rocket but that would really live up to its name.

Awesome....it might give my son ideas, so I won't show him....

My SS will have to do, its fast enough for me...I haven't been on two wheels for many a year.
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

hmmm I reckon you would strugge to keep up to a Jap bike! hehe. Even by Ducati monster in the windy stuff would be a challenge.

Nice Toy! Is it anything like early British Bikes where their bikes reflected their weather, i.e. leaks all the time?

    Err, no.

Like their noisy, rattly American cousins, modern triumphs are leak free and reliable. Much like Japanese bikes.

Going to be hard to stop the rear wheel spinning with 1.3 HP per 1kg of weight!!

Even with you on it you have 1hp to 1kg of weight. That's close to a F1 car.
