    Default Roku Power Supply

My Roku Box came with an American Power supply (with American Pin configuration)

    AC Adapter
    Input: 100-240VAC 50/60HZ 0.25A
    Output: 5.0V ----1.5A

Just wondering if someone could recommend a power supply to use with the Roku in Australia, Please...

    Thankyou

    Cheers

    you can bend the pins.
they are not polarity conscious. you may leave exposed metal at 240 Volt

or buy a travel adapter from the junk shop.

Do you know you can also power it through the HDMI cord.

Bend the pins or use a cheap travel adaptor..either one works.
as long as power is not over 240v

does this work ? has 5V 50mA on a pin. i think for device id not to provide power.
is 50mA enough to power the lan /wifi and device? it comes with a 1.5A wall wart.
i am not about to try it on mine

It froze up one day, so I unplugged it for a reset but it stayed on. After a bit of head scratching I realised it was powering itself from the HDMI cable.

So now I don't bother with the power cord.

    It's a Roku 2 XS.

Tried with my Roku 2 xs and turns off.
Maybe different type of hdmi cable or length of cable?

It's actually connected to a powered HDMI switcher (I forgot about that) and when I go a direct tv to roku connection it loses power. It works with my computer monitor though, and I've read of people getting it straight from their tv, so it must need certain conditions to work.

The new Roku Stick draws power directly from the HDMI box so maybe it was just a feature they were experimenting with.

It must be the powered switcher, I have tried with a few TV's here and no go at all.
