Splitting, will this work?

Until I get the funds to buy a motor, I'm thinking of doing the following...

My Dreambox is currently hooked up to a single LNB dish pointing to C1. I have another paytv box hooked up to a dish which points to D1, which also has another LNB on it pointing to C1, activated by a 22KHz tone. The tone is never put through to the LNB anymore.

I want to get D1 on the Dreambox.

So my plan was to do the following:
Run a cable from the satellite output on my paytv box, put a 2 way 22KHzsplitter on the end of this.
Plug the other side of the splitter into the C1 cable.

Will this work? I think it will, as the other splitter is powered by another STB in the house, so sending the tone from the previously mentioned paytv box has no affect.

Another way I could tackle this is to put my 4 way splitter back on, and use that into the switch for D1.

Polarity doesn't make any difference, as everything I want is on horizontal.
