    Default Netflix on Samsung TV

    Hi,

    I have a Samsung UA46D7000 Smart TV.

I have been reading the posts here on Austech and this is what I have done so far:

Installed Un-Block US on the computer.

Changed DNS settings on TV to = 111.118.175.56

Loaded smart hub, press fast forward on the remote then 289 then fast rewind, then selected USA country.

USA apps appear on the smart hub menu.

I can view Hulu previews, so the Un-Block US and DNS settings must be working, all other apps work EXCEPT for NETFLIX.

Netflix just keeps resetting or goes to a black screen.

It all works well on my computer.

Does any one know how to fix this on the Samsung TV ?

    Cheers

My money would be on you needing US or Canadian Firmware for the Samsung

This is only a guess of course

    Have great Christmas Osc_1

I've got a Samsung 2010 3dtv can get huluplus running but not netflix or vudu because it's asian ver. TV
even if you got us firmware you'd stuff your tuner. Just buy a smart samsung bluray player and it'll work
if set country in internet settings to usa.

    Hi,

I found this on another forum:-

Get either a service remote control or this tool:
Configure this tool so you can use it as remote control via LAN for your tv.

    1. Turn OFF(StandBy) your TV
    2. Press INFO, MENU, MUTE and POWER.
    3. In the service menu press FACTORY and 3SPEED
    4. Now you can change the "Local set" entry
    5. Do a "Factory reset"
    6. Done

Important is that you have the FACTORY and 3SPEED key which the common remote controls don't have.

    Has anyone tried this?

    Cheers
