I removed it - I got sick of the spam and the popup trying to get me to upgrade.
I haven't had any pop ups since it did this.....
Go into the settings tab and select Service-Channel then untick Update notifications then ok.

Hi Marty and WhiteOx, my previous post was just to remove the annoying pop up advertising which the program generates and so far I haven't had any. I also have a user account with them, and don't receive spam emails.
To stop the spam emails, what you have to do is turn off the option on the Ashampoo website. Did you both create accounts with ashampoo, when you gave them you emails. If so just login and goto the tab in the picture below and deactivate the first two options and you shouldn't get anymore emails.
If you didn't complete the registration for the website, just goto ashampoo website and click on forgot password ? Use the email address you used to get your free key and they'll sent a temp password and a login link, then login and complete your info and turn off the options below and it should be all good.
