Default Installer needed in Carrum Downs area

    Hi guys...
Trying to get the clark's belt with a c-dish is a nightmare... so if someone has the right tools and knowledge please give me a quote via pm..
The dish is up , the pole is plumb... i just cant get it.. i get all the satellites but i need to adjust to get them everytime... maybe its the actuator ( i've installed the dish myself - my first c band install ) not installed right... or the lnb not inclined to position right... declination... who knows... i've tryed the lot... but with a cheap sat finder - NO GO
I'm sick of braking tiles for no results lol..
    Thank you

    cmon guys no1 ?
ive called a couple of so called antena installers but most of them only do home antenas and one of them dindnt even knew what a c-band dish is... another was telling me he can pick optus c1 very easy and picking intelsat 10 can be done with a 65 cm ( i kept on telling him its at 68,5 and u need a 3 m minumum.. he kept contradicting me - he is a profesional installer with over 100 installs... asked him how many satellite installs he did... he told me about a 5 foxtels and 3 select tv.. lol.. he didnt even know what clarks belt is lol ) so i know the only shot i got is one of you hobbysts or melbourne satellites wich will probably charge an arm and a leg

Pit5bul do you have a satfinder, inclinometer and compass?

I think you have given up too soon out of frustration.

Most likely your setup angles like declination etc are out if you need to move the dish on the pole or if the stopping position of the actuator is wrong you may have loose main bearings or fittings on the dish, possible that the actuator or positioner may have a loose wire or the signal counter inside the positoner is gone.

Have you checked your limit switches inside the actuator?

yes i have satfinder, inclinometer and compass , but i cant the error..
I do find each satellite on their own so thats not a problem... but the whole arch i dunno why i cant work it out...
maybe i dont have the correct values for declination and elevation ??
its 44 declination and 51 elevation ( melbourne ) is that right ?

Your C band dish will visually seem to look up higher in the sky, than a typical Ku:-)

Aligning a C Band dish is NOT a "20 minute job".

You really need to learn how to set up and maintain your system as it will need maintenance.

There is quite a lot of info at regarding the setup and maintenance of a C Band system, you just need to learn and understand the basics and it will all make sense.

Good stuff mate , sounds like you had all the hard work done anyway.

I havent had a go at C band , but had a running battle with a Moteck motorised mount and 90cm dish at my old house that went for weeks. The clark belt is enough to send you loony

Its always more satisfying to win the battle yourself too

    Congrats on getting her going.

Nothing better than a steep quote to make you pull your finger out and give it a go.

See wasnt so hard was it?

Helps when you have the right information.
