No you should use the Dublin dynamic dns. You also have to update your ip on the unotelly get started page. It took me about 3 tries as I would miss a step here or there but you should get it if you follow the instructions to the letter. Don't forget to reset your location as well on the wdtv.

Yes that's what I was getting with 1.12.14 and with a 2 different UK dedicated VPN's as well as Unotelly other devices I've got get iplayer lovefilm etc. but not with my WDTV Live, I've returned it and got a refund now. Yes I Possibly missed a step but it's not a device I really needed, others are good enough.

If you are not interested in joining/paying for any of the movie services, you can get access to 10 BBC channels catchup services for free which is a huge bonus for the box.

    !
So, does this mean you can get US version of Netflix at the same time as BBC I-player, or do you have to manually switch settings from one to the other to change region?

I'm using the UnblockUs service for watching Netflix in my household.
I installed a plugin for BBC Iplayer on my Vu Duo last week and all those channels seem to work no problem without me changing any settings

So you're meaning to say you can get BBC Iplayer from UK and Netflix from USA at the same time? I don't think that can be done? Maybe you are viewing the British Netflix catalogue instead?

BBC iplayer & Netflix from USA is possible on WDTV too......

Also, for the Benefit of the good information in this thread......

Playon channels, & Playlater recordings are accessible though the Video Tab on a WDTV Live SMP....

Thanks for the replies, but can someone explain how to get both BBC Iplayer and US Netflix at the same time on the WDTV Live SMP?

Do you set the region to UK first and get Iplayer and move it to Favourites before you then change region to US and get Netflix?

Osirus how do you find the quality of the playon service? I see they have a special one off fee at the moment. Any particuler channel you like from them?

I quite like the PlayOn & Playlater ... lots of content.... so far everything fine

Have not had it for very long, still trying things,

Playon allows you more channels that you would not have normally on the WDTV ...like Amazon... (but I have not tried it yet) & Plus 7 (Australian channel 7 content)

& you can add more channels though Pluggins & scripts, (& write scripts if you can....)

Playlater recordings adds some of your personal information to the start & finish of the recording.

e.g. recorded by.... with playlater .... at IP address.... & disclaimer....Distribution of this video is strictly prohibited.....

but, I guess you could edit it out if you needed to with a Video editor.

Quality is dependent on your Bandwidth & Your PC Processor performance...... & I thought it worked just a bit better on Sydney Dynamo Enabled DNS setting

PlayOn may play better on your PS3 or XBox

I have also just found..... that once I have BBC iPlayer & AceTrax Movies, & Netfix, HuluPlus, CinemaNow & Vudu, etc.... setup & in my favourites & all is working....

Without changing anything else I change the DNS setting back to Sydney Dynamo Enabled UnoDNS setting & this gives me better picture quality....(maybe just me...?)

I change to Sydney dns as well, it does actually say to choose the dynamic dns closest to your location. I find it works better, although I actually used the Hong Kong dns last time which gave me no grief until the other day. Changed it to Sydney and all good.
I too have acetrax showing, but when I select a movie it gives me a wrong country message. Anyone have any luck with this?

That's as far as it goes I think...I set up an account with a welcome 10 pounds and can get everything (trailers info etc) but no movie. I emailed uno support and they said it is on the to do list, so maybe one day...
It's no big loss as there are so many movie servers out there but I would like to use my free 10 pounds some day

Meanwhile I have been playing with some RSS video feeds. This seems a good one .

    Hi guys,
I've decide to do a trial with Uno after using Unblockus for a while, and this is the question I posted to their online support:

" Hi, I've just subscribed to your free trial. I have been able to watch US Netflix and Hulu Plus on my WDTV Live in Australia using unblockus and have read through some forums that I can alo receive BBC Iplayer. So I have setup my DNS properly in my modem router and can confirm that Netflix US and Hulu Plus work with your DNS.

Now when I go into dynamo and setup for UK content on the WDTV, I am able to get BBC Iplayer successfully and US Netflix. The problem is that I end up losing Hulu plus, ie it doesn't even stay in the favourites when I setup the DNS. Am I doing something wrong, or is it impossible to receive US Netflix, Hulu Plus and BBC Iplayer on the 1 device?"

Can anyone shed some light on this as I can't seem to figure out how to get this combination up and working on the WDTV?

On a side note, when I reset the WDTV after removing all DNS settings in my router, I obtained ABC I-view. I placed it in my favourites, and then setup dns again, reset, and I've lost ABC I-view once the dns is enabled. Isn't anything you have setup in favourites, suppose to remain once you do a reset (ie the one that keeps your online services)?
