2013 NRL Tipping Competition

Hi all

I've been in touch with ssrattus and it doesn't look like he will be running a NRL tipping comp this year.

If anyone is interested, I've been running a social comp for a few years (with an entry fee of $40), so any austech members are more than welcome to come over to the dark side and part with some cash .

It started out as a tipping comp for work and for the last few years I've limited it to 200 players. If I get the same again, I will be handing out another $8000 throughout the season.

Note: The site is currently in 'rego mode' so there's not a lot you can see/do at the moment, but it's pretty basic and easy to use.

PS: I can assure you it's all legitimate (trust me ), so don't be concerned that you are giving $40 to a complete stranger who will run off with your hard earned!

Sounds good guys ... I'm closing off registrations on 22nd Feb, so plenty of time.

I can also group tipsters into different 'teams' or 'leagues' so we can have an Austech one if there's enough interest.

Update ... we've just hit 50 tipsters, so prizemoney is up over $2000.

Just giving this a little bump

We're up to 67 tipsters, with prizemoney currently sitting at $2680.

Idea If you have a tipping comp at work and your workmates are happy to 'invest' $40, why not get them to signup as well. As I said earlier, I can group everyone together to see who's the best in your office!

Not sure what payment details you are after?

It costs $40 to enter and there's a bank account number for the money to go into. If you are talking about how you collect a prize, then I would contact the winner and ask for their account details and credit the cash via internet banking.

Getting an Internal Server Error from the rego confirmation page when trying to sign up.

Thanks for letting me know mate. Looks like the mail server is down at my web host. It's erroring on the mail send script so I'll keep an eye on it tonight and let you know when it's back up.

OK, give it a go now ... the mail server is still down, but I've put in place a workaround that will still record your details (it just won't send a confirmation email).

For any others interested, rego is due to close this Friday so don't leave it too late. We have over 140 players at the moment with prizemoney of $5500+ in the kitty.

I am sending a final reminder around at work this week, so numbers will jump up considerably (plenty of spots will be available as I've increased the maximum to 250).

Received the confirmation email OK on my work (secondary) email but not on my main email. My isp, iinet, does not accept emails that do not adhere to strict rules. ie the reverse DNS has to be valid for the mail server.

Austech members, no NRL tipping on Austech this year, there just have been too few members joining and continuing through out the year.

The tipping competition registration date has passed however there are still some spots available for anyone wanting to join up. Visit and there is a link under the login screen.

We currently have 219 tipsters with prizemoney of $8760. First place is just over $2000 with the rest going towards the top 20 positions and several other competitions throughout the season. Full details are available below.

Good luck to those that have joined so far - kickoff of the NRL season starts on Thursday night (7th March).
