iPad, uploaded books vanished from ibooks.

As per the title. I have a latest model iPad which I have been uploading epub's over the last 3-4 months. I upload the epub's from my computer to dropbox then use dropbox on the ipad to download back into ibooks. This has been working fine until now. About 20-30 books have suddenly vanished during the day. I've shut the iPad down and restarted but the books are still missing in action.


Has anyone here seen this happen before and maybe have a fix or do I have to reupload them.

Also does anyone know of a better option than using iBooks for bookshelf/reading.

I usually upload to the ipad using Tipard ipad transfer.
There are a number of different ones around by various makers but they all work the same.
Can't say that I have had your problem but all my stuff tends to be pdf's

Hi efab, thanks for the reply. Looks like I'll have to load up the epubs again.

It's strange during the period that I had uploaded some of my own books, I also purchased three books. These purchased books are still on the bookshelf, it's only the ones I uploaded that have gone.

Hi weirdo, thanks for having a look and finding that link. It looks like I might just upload all my books and keep them on Dropbox, then just download as needed and once used remove them from the Ipad.
