    Default Ipad Mini Repair

Anyone done a ipad mini digitizer replacement?

Got the digitizer out ok but the real pain is the the replacement digitizer needs to be soldered on to the home and digitizer connector.

Anybody sources know where i can source a complete screen??? with the home assembly and the digitizer connector done?

Why didn't you go to the Apple shop and have it done there? I think that's more reliable and also, for sure they know what they're doing. When it comes to Apple, I wouldn't risk having it done in other places.

    ok, slowly doing it

AFL football sorta got in the way

    first impressions
designed not to be repaired. The glue on the digitiser is really good, soldered home button, soldered connection to a connection to the motherboard, LCD is stuck down too - just to add the challenge of not breaking the LCD

for those with ipad minis - might be worth adding to your accidental damage in your insurance

what to do now...... solder the connection to the motherboard, solder the home button..... but doing that later tonight

got some renovations to work on

keep you posted with pickies later

well that was a waste of time, the solder connections have no strength to hold itself together, so sort of like the iphone, ipod, s3, s4's you need to buy the correct one. For the ipad mini - the screen that has the home button and motherboard connection already installed is a must (Ben10's post)

Typical choice of Australia $90 or China $70 but both the same product - Australian delivered within days, China - weeks

will update once the bloody thing is working
