    Default Android - Dashboard Cam

    Think this is a must have app for all Android tablets with GPS inbuilt: Dashboard Cam. You get it at Google Play. Installed it recently. Works like a charm.

    Isnt a 10" Tablet a little large to have in your field of view?

    Probably. Mine is a 7''.

    BTW: You can use this app also as simple video recorder, if you disable display of all components as compass ... And, it can be moved to SD-card.
