this from a european sat forum:

The Irdeto2 encryption has been hacked completely, EMU's are to be expected soon.
The Gamma OS has been dumped and Irdeto-2-Smartcards of versions 4 and 5 are hit.
The chances for IRDETO for a fix are not good, as the ROM is completely dumped.
IRDETO2 is used by Canal Digitaal Satelliet, Nova and a few XXX channels.

Big thx to Symptom for sharing this great news!
im a noob to the gamma thing, been reading lots and havent seen this here anywahere so thought it might be news for you

Since the public files went down I have no interest in spending any more money on this so I was just happy to get rid of them. In fact this will be my last post on the subject of gamma cards or files ever on austech. Too many other cool things to check out and discuss on here.
as fandat666 said people over seas are offering more for them then what people paid , there is a gamma file working in greece which au the card
thats why they pay huge amounts

Public file was a scam, it took everyone for a ride including me, although i never went out a gamma card with or without the file. The sellers card is old technology, in europe they use a satellite receiver with all this info on the sellers card built into to actual receiver. This way theres no card, its just software with the right firmware and codes. It supports IR1 and IR2 as far as I know..

My box is on the way and i'm sure some of you will see it at the pubs in about 6 to 12 months

So, what do you do if you're a provider? I doubt that there are many whiteys in the bush, so I don't see it affecting Austar revenue greatly. Ironically, Foxtel, using NDS, stands to lose the most. Will Austar shareholders look favourably on spending tens of millions of dollars to save Foxtel's hide? Highly unlikely I would have thought, given that Foxtel would like to gobble up Austar at the first available opportunity. Given that many viewers are on contracts, probably best to let it go for now and see how things develop.

    Question

I`ve got a dumb ass question.
Why do people say that its pointless buying a blank Gamma card when thats what the so called "whiteys" are. Why is it pointless??? People from all over the world seem to be chasing the blank gamma cards.
Does anyone know what size the eprom and pic are in the so called "whitey"?

    Cheers

I have an OS card to sell then lol. no good to me

Publicly the Details on the Sellers Cards isnt Known/released.

OS card gammas were like to wet the whistle so to speak, then they got killed off and now sellers make their BIG money.

It does seem to be the real deal, I have looked at with Freescale Codewarrior which used to be Motorola MCore. I have tried to compile it but vital parts are missing (3des reverse encryption key). Have a look at the file hsoc01.c, it makes refrerence to all the right cmds, codewarrior recognises all of the included files but asks for other files that aren`t there.
    Just my thoughts.

Unfortunately not nathj, these encryption keys are vital to creating the gamma commands, sort of a password. As all as these files are good for is a headache trying to read and understand them. Maybe some of the more senior guys that were involved with goldies may be of help. Ghostaman and lave, come out of hiding please!
