CCcam.cfg and other things - Help Please

Hi, Great site thanks for looking at my post.

I'm trying to set up my sat box and i'm having trouble getting things going with what i've been reading i think i need to add some kind of CCcam or Oscam or both i've also read i need to put information into the CCcam.cfg file ? but i have on idea of what info to put there.

I'm using a VU+Solo2 loaded with the latest Black Hole image. I have updated the satelittle xml file to include the Optus C1/D3 sat and done a scan and all the correct channels are coming up and i can see the expo channel rest are scrambled

Also i'm using my A@@star card V4.1 Any other advice to get things up and running would be great. Thank you.

You'll need the tweak version of the Oscam emu for a start with which is used to 'host' the card. I'm sure someone has a 4.1 running in the slot of their Vu+ Duo so should be able to shed more light on if you need to run cccam as a client to oscam to keep the card updated.

Ok as far as I can tell, for me to gets things working I need a tweaked version of Oscam to host the card and I need to setup CCcam as a client to Oscam and this will keep the card updated. ( Thanks Leroy )

Can anyone tell me if there is anything else I need or should this be it? Also if anyone could please help with the tweaked version of Oscam and what i need to put in the CCcam.cfg file to run as a client to Oscam I would forever be thankful.

Yes correct, I have a genuine austar card v4.1 that i'm trying to get working in my vu+solo2 card slot. Leroy has told me I need a tweaked version of Oscam first of all.

So if there is anyone who can help with the tweaked oscam it would be very much appreciated.

You have to enter the keys through webif reader settings.
(don't ask me how to use webif search yourself)
Note: do not ask me for keys I don't have them either

*Ubuntu 32bit with smartreader and webif compiled version

Hi Guys, Great site thanks for taking the time to have a look.

I've been doing a lot of reading over the last few weeks or so trying to get my head around a lot of things and hopefully get up and running, so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.

I thought it best if I start from the beginning with what equipment and card I have and what I hope to achieve.

*I have 2x Sat Boxes they are VU+Solo2 with a VU+ WIFI N 300MBPS USB DONGLE * My card is a Austar 4.1 Chuckie on it.

My goal is to setup one box as a server and the other as a client both within my home.

If anyone cloud answer any of these questions or have any other advice please do so.

Q: Dose it matter what image i use? or is there one that you would recommend i use?

At the moment i have loaded Open Pli V3.0 to have a bit of a play and done a scan and downloaded all of the channels from the sat and everything seems to be working as it should at stage i can see TVSN and Al-Jazeera fine, I can logon to the box with both Open Webif and Filezilla.
I loaded oscam v6018 & cccam v2.1.3 but that is as far as i've got so far.

Now i think i have tracked down a tweaked version of oscam by Ozir. When i unzip the folder i have the files below inside. ( I have been told i need the mips version )

oscam-mips-smargo-pcsc-tweak-4100, oscam-ppc-smargo-pcsc-tweak-4100, oscam-x86-smargo-pcsc-tweak-4100

Q: My question - is the tweaked oscam loaded like any other standard cam? or do i rename the tweaked version to oscam and use it to over write the oscam file of the standard cam in /usr/bin - folder ?

* I have also been reading and believe i need some tweak keys tko tk1 ? do i get them from my card somehow ? or are they posted somewhere ? I have had a good look around but no luck. any help with this would be great as i have no idea at this stage.

Q: do i have to setup my own oscam configs and replace to ones in the /var/etc/tuxbox/config - folder? if so could someone please tell me the best way to go about this? or what they should look like.

I know i will have missed heaps and there will be more i need to learn but i would just like to get started in the right direction so any help would be truly appreciated.

I would use IRServer. I don't know that you can get a genuine card working easily in the slot of a Vu.

Thanks Leroy,

IRServer might be the way to go if I can't get things running.
Would IRServer work ok on a laptop as I have a spare one I could use. what would you recommend for a card reader?
is there anything else I would need software or hardware wise.
