I saw a few militaria related posts so I thought I'd see who collects Australian military badges here?
I'm mostly interested in the badges and patches of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps but also collect post 1960 Australian Army badges.

I am responsible for probably all those posts mick I dont collect Australian Military badges...well, I dont yet Unfortunately I collect far too many things. At the moment I am collecting ARP (Air Raid Precautions) badges (metal not cloth) both Australian and from the UK.
What sort of price does the "average" patch cost ? Is it an expensive hobby ?
It can be depending on what period you collect!
Most of the stuff I collect is post WW2 so is reasonably affordable (most of them would be $50 or less for post 1960 period badges) but some of the rare badges from the 1930s or pre WW1 can be several thousand $$$. I know of several badges that would easily sell for greater than $5000k.
If you are interested, I have a few spares I can trade/sell

ps
A great badge forum is here - .
Good for Aussie, UK and Canadian badge info.
