Default Help - What's The Best Gamepad For MAME

    Hi,
Wanting some advise on using a gamepad with MAME. I'm currently using MAME32. I'd like some help with the following please:

    * What's the best and most compatible gamepad to use with MAME?
    * What's the best version of a MAME emulator out there at the moment - perhaps a multi emulator or very good MAME emulator?

Also, I just bought the Xbox360 USB controller adaptor for windows. THis allows you to use a wireless Xbox360 controller on windows. Problem is I cannot get it to work with any emulators. Any advice here would be great

There is only one gamepad to use with mame

    Bit expensive though.
It is not hard to build your own control panel.
What happens if I press alt + F4?

I use a Namco Playstation Joystick with a USB-Playstation adaptor. Works great especially for the Capcom fighting games. If you can find one of these sticks they should be pretty cheap, though finding the adaptor might be a bit tougher.

You might need to do some key mapping though for it, I did that but it was simple. BTW use MAME32.
Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. You gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll end up with a cupboard full of pop tarts and pancake mix.
