ps2 HD limit?
Hi All,
I'm sure I once would have known the answer to this but being that i have been out of hte scene for several years i cant remember!
I have a ps2 with a dms3 running free hdloader and a 40gb hard drive. I was wanting to put a larger hard drive in and was wondering what was the largest i could go? for some reason i have 120gb stuck in my head?
thanks!!

I've tried a 120. Works fine. Have not tried bigger. With LBA, i don't imagine there being size restrictions unless sony did something mean on purpose; which is not impossible (rootkit anyone?).
I believe 120gig was the limit if you used the app within the DMS4pro....but using a later version of HdLoader enabled higher hdd sizes

Ok.
Grabbed a 320gb and ran the current (mem card free hdloader) and it picked it up as 127gb as i kind expected.
Got a copy of hdloader 8c burnt on disc and ran it and picked it up at nearlly 300gb.... now im kinda lost as how to get a mem card version of 8c. Just means i dont need the disc in the drive when booting, can anyone help in tems of where i can get one?
cheers
