    Default TomTom ONE rebooting

I see no reference anywhere to this.

I have two TT ONEs. One is a version 1 and one a version 2.

I recently updated the v1 to Navcore 9.061 in order to use the latest 905 series maps, and all works fine. The other day I installed 9.061 into the version 2 and got sporadic reboots rendering the device useless. I tried flash clear to no avail. Finally I re-installed 8.562 and all is fine. Looks as if 9.061 is not compatible with the version2

Is that a conclusion or a question?

The 3.5 inch screen TomTom ONE v1 and ONE v2 devices have exactly the same hardware, therefore your "conclusion" is incorrect.

For anyone having a similar problem, the first thing you can try is temporarily removing the mapsettings.cfg file from the map folder and reboot.

If the problem persists, start from scratch. Wipe the device clean, do not just overwrite files, and proceed with the installation.

I've done all that, clean install, flash clear and it still reboots with 9.061.
The reason I posted was maybe it would help someone else, I drew no conclusion!

So why didn't you remove [B]mapsettings.dat/[B] from the map folder, as lemonfish suggested?

    1. suggestion to get proper help: make proper postings containing all needed details
You simply state is does not work and reboots.
No mention if a SE or DSA Navcoe is used, what emulation is used....
    2. suggestion: take up to date Navcore and not stuff from 2 years ago
    3. suggestion: use a Navcore that is suited for your device
Several SE Navcores and the one I provide will run just fine on ONE models
