Default TomTom Boot Loop - Issues/Solutions Post here

I've searched and applied solutions given here mostly like Favourite editng, placing a txt file in the root dir with time for G710 but couldn't stop boot loop yet. The issue is frustrating and can't even use my G710any more as it goes flat due to rebooting loop.

    NAVCORE:9.485
    memroy: 64MB
    GPS:1.20, Boot 1.0012
    Map: 900.4754

Not sure what to do any more?`

If you would have checked for the problems regarding X10 devices you would have no problem
There is a thread right next your new one with exactly the same topic in it...

I've been using Full back up provided by Downunder35m but last night after downloading the 905-- map I deleted every thing from the SD, obviously after backing it up by using explorer, and used partial backup (85normal.rar) with newly created *.bif file, installed the latest map and no boot loop yet.

If there are massive problems it is often the fastest and easiest way to start from scratch on empty device.
The basic setup is done quite fast, so it makes no sense to get bogged while trying to get a "broken" system running again.
    For future reference:
The mapsettings.cfg inside your map folder holds all map related infos from your side, like favourites.
The voices and LoquendoTTS folders usually don't change anyway.
So if you backup those you will back to a working setup in a few minutes

Totally Agreed with your comments as I learnt it hard way, trying to fix the boot loop with all kind of suggestions. I may say thank to every one though who were very polite to keep suggesting new ways to fix it.

I'll Downunder35 backup for a while just in case if some else needs it, may be for another 15 days as PC HD is almost full now and time to get rid off some old files to make room.
