    Default Youtube channel on Roku closed down

    UPDATE 4/15/2013: We received a notice from Roku management asking us to close down the channel as we don't own the content which is being streamed by VideoBuzz channel. As of now, we will be closing down the channel on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013.

    Why? We suspect Roku received a DMCA takedown request from Google/Youtube. YouTube's Terms of Service for developers:

    access any portion of any YouTube audiovisual content by any means other than use of a YouTube player or other video player expressly authorized by YouTube;

    Default

    MyVideoBuzz hasn't worked since the Roku firmware August 2nd update. It opens,
    starts to load and freezes. Repower required.

    Yes, sadly Roku management has come up with a way to disable the new side-loaded version of MyVideoBuzz. You can go to and go to Roku Private Channels then Dead or broken channels and it is confirmed No Longer Working. There is no stand-alone channels now. I suggest the following to watch YT now:

    1. PlayOn
    2. PLEX
    3. Twonky and PlayTo (Android) or Bleess (iOS) for YouTube "AirPlay style"

    As an added bonus you can watch FilmOn on Roku through Bleess App. You just need to open the mobile version of FilmOn: m.filmon.tv

    Enjoy YouTube and FilmOn on your Roku's!!!!
