IBM T30 repairs?

hi..
ive got a IBM T30 model 2336BM1

just want to know any honest repair shops local to ringwood or outa melb
or somewhere that sells parts.

it has a minor problem with LCD going blank or producing strange V/H lines when the screen is moved forward or back so i'm thinking its the ribbon cable between the panel & main puter as when its positioned & not moved the screen works fine.... so need it repaired or maybe buy part & replace myself.

(was quoted $189 just for part) seems a little over the top but i guess being a laptop its probably expected...

sounds like a loose connection to me. I'd be pulling it apart and reseating all connections.
