At least a Movie channel or a Sports channel or General entertainment channel may get some viewers.....
who watches the shopping channels ?

It's all about the money I guess, it costs the network very little to add another channel with digital tv (it's just another TDMA slot) and it obviously generates income from the advertisers...

Here too on the area covered from Lithgow to Dubbo in NSW.
What I dont understand is why they had to add another 'channel' when they already had 5 and 2 are clones...................
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
If I get my sports channel properly it will be more than enough. But I hate 'cloned channels". Ask your cable operator or if you are a TV antenna surf channels properly.
I got 99 problems and a crimp aint one...

jamestaylor84, I have to ask just what country and if Australia, what area are you in as your reply makes no sense regarding Digital Terrestrial Television as seen Regionally in Australia.
I am not sure if Prime (aka7 Network) does the same everywhere but here we have '7' channels available on the Prime network , ie 6,60,61,62,63,64&65.
6,60&61 all show the SAME program hence the comment on 'Cloning'.
Even if One was a TV antenna, you can only 'Surf' what is provided by the Broadcaster..................

If they do convert one or more of these datacasting channels to regular programming or, shudder, try to fit even more in I wonder who they think will watch it. The picture quality is so horrid on the datacasting channels that an old VHS tape recorded in the '80s looks better. Adding more services, even if MPEG-4 AVC, would make the existing channels go to hell too. WIN's and SCA's SD channels are pretty grim with the current arrangement. Take even more bits away from them and one might as well delete them from the channel list entirely.
Three months in and ishoptv still doesn't have any EPG description entered... c'mon Prime Television, get your act together!
Why does that matter you ask? Because EVERY SINGLE BLOODY TIME I scroll past Ch.65 on the EPG, I have to wait for the tuner to check the channel just to have "No Information" displayed, exit EPG and re-check a couple of minutes later and you get the same thing, it's really starting to piss me off!
Andrew
Thanks porkop,
I wish I could delete the channel, I have a Samsung LCDTV and I've tried seven different ways till Sunday to delete/skip channels but it doesn't seem to work... it's very strange... I can delete channels but they still appear in the EPG?
I've been meaning to do a firmware upgrade to see if that fixes it but haven't gotten around to it yet?
