Default Westinghouse fixed WRJ900US range hood light help please

My wife has been nagging me to fix the lights in the range hood, some time back some thing went crackle pop, i changed the bulbs but with no successs. I have just pulled the switch assembly part and checked the board, removed the light assembly but all looks fine to me but i am no expert. Googled and although people had similar questions there did not appear a diffinitive answer, although some one suggested the transformer be replaced but i don't think one exists
Should there be a fuse some where or what should i be looking for? the wires appear ok
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Madness"

    Default

Is this the type that switches on when you open it?

If not power it up, grab a multimeter and see where the voltage stops in the circuit, and there you have it!
When I explained to the guy what avatar I wanted, that wasn't what I meant!
