    Default LG TV Firmware update

    Hi guys.

I have a LG 47LS4600 and I want to update my firmware. I have downloaded the newest firmware and followed their instructions, but my TV doesn't want to update...

Will this solve my TV not showing tru motion?

    Any clues?

I have tried 2 USB's devices, a USB stick and my digital camera. I can access the contents on both the memory sticks, but the auto update function doesn't pop up...

you need to be really careful with firmware updates they can destroy your device if not careful, if the tv thinks it's the wrong firmware it wont let it in, if the usb stick is formatted wrong it wont work ? some firmware needs to be "unpacked" before installing was there any install notes with the firmware? did the firmware come from lg Australia or could it have been lg us or similar ?

check you used the right LG site, double check you have the correct firmware for your set, make sure the stick is formatted to fat or fat32 or whatever lg say to use. That's just a few things I can think of that might get in your way.

I got it to work... I downloaded it from the South Africa website. It was 47LS4600-TA.

Do you know what it updated?

I'm still having problems playing some mkv files...
