    Default LG 50PG20-UA HD Plasma issue...

    Hello, I have a 50" Lg Plasma HD model 50PG20 the picure works fine but about the 3rd of the way down it has about a 1 inch horizontal line across the screen, I have not done anything to this tv yet what would you suggest and what is the issue?

    Try reseating the flat lead corresponding to the fault on the screen from the Y drive pcb to the panel allso look at the flat lead for damage or dirty

    Thanks for the reply Chris, yes tried reseating and cleaning the leads it doesn't not help, I took all the boards off and put them back in and at one point I made this line all black. Is this a bad buffer board, y sustain , etc.

    Time to try a new upper bufferboard. You'll find the part number on a small white sticker on the board. The number will start with something like EBR or 6871.

    EBR50039007
    YDRVTP
    HS500891031
    are there any other boards with different numbers that are compatible?

    EBR50039007 dus not come up on LG parts only EBR50039005 is it not an Australian model
    so have a look at PDP model at top left of the panel like PDP50G1000 or PDP50G10223
    i might mach it up to a different model set

    the sticker says:

    Sorry can not find that panel no, i would try E bay with the part no, you have from the old pcb and see what you can find

    Looks like the EBR50039005 will substitute for the EBR50039007 board.
