Every now and then I do a search to find new stuff, but so far I had no luck for some nice voices to use on my Android TT.
Ok, can't be too hard to make some up...
Well, actually it is Which explaines why there is basically nothing on the net.
The voice files have to be in the correct format, not just for the voice itself but also for the info files.
One error, one wrong entry and TT refuses to start.
Realising that most of the available voices are "dirty", meaning the infos are wrong or incomplete, I knew I had a lot of work in front of me.
After endless trials I finally managed to find the correct names so the TT displays them correctly.
Many hours (and beers ) later I also managed to fix most of info files so they work on the Droid.

Every single voice you find in this collection was checked, modifed and tested, so that I can ensure they will work fine.
I put a lot of time and hard work into this project, so two things:
a) I'd like to thank all people that provided the original files, although I collected them from various sources over the years
b) I really don't like people stealing my links and work, but I don't mind sharing if you use your own mirror upload (untouched files) and leave credits

Know problems/limitations:
I have not yet found a way to make premium voice work on Android, seems this feature is not included yet.
Some entries you see on your Android TT might have a typo, so forgive me
I might add more voice or create different packs in the future, but don't nag for premium voices, I will provide them if it is possible.

How to install on the Android versions:
1. Download the archive and unpack to a folder on your PC/Mac
2. Using Windows Explorer copy the folder "voices" from your Android to a backup folder on your PC - the folder is in the tomtom subfolder files, where also your map folder is located
3. Copy one or all downloaded voices from the folder on your PC to the folder "voices" to your device - each voice consists of two files: *.chk and *.vif - you need both
4. There should not be any voice with those names on your device, but I can not guarantee it, so might have to make a choice which one you want to keep
5. start the TT APK and enjoy
