Apologies if this has been posted before on the forum - but will these new boxes accept a VAST card out of an existing UEC box?

The answer is NO. Each VAST card is firmly associated to the one box. And as Rodnic says, it is a non issue anyway.

No. You can look at a recorded file while recording another. To do what you ask requires a twin tuner unit like the UEC & Humax.

POSTSCRIPT: Note you can e.g. record ABC1 and then could look at ABC2 BUT not e.g. record on the ABC channels and try to look at some other like SBS, WIN etc
