    Default "Finally" I'm getting broadband

Hi all, as per the title after a very long period of procrastination I am finally getting braodband/adsl at home.

I've come across what appears to be a pretty generous plan of which I hope that someone might be to gove me some tips/advice about.
ultimately I'd like adsl2 but apparently my exchange hasn't been switched on as yet but the plan is as follows

    speed - 512
unlimited download peak & off peak
    unlimited inclusive data
    price - $51.95 per mth
    connection fee $99
    disconnection within 6mths $90
one catch I did find out with this plan is, if I go over 10gig of downloads within the month then my speed drops down to 64k.
I can buy their modem or get my own, either way this is cost but it doesn't worry me that much.

is there anyting else that I might need to be aware before I go ahead get signed up? I'm currently with iinetand have tried to do get them to match a deal of the other providers but they reckon they can't do that?

    any advice is greatly appreciated
    cheers all

I think you would be able to get a better deal with 512k 10gb for less then $50

    TPG has 1.5mbit, 18gb for $50

    check out exetel link,

you can have 1500/256 48g offpeak 6g peak for $45,

uploads do not count to your allowance.

Some people don't like them but they have been ok with me.

It's hardly unlimited download if it has a 10 Gb limit then throttled back to 64k.
I think you should be able to do better. My local isp [onthenet] does 1500 speed and 12Gb limit for 49.95/ mth [admittedly some is off peak]
