    An old version of Photoshop Elements here. I only used the healing wand and clone stamp tool on that pic.
    I have Gimp2 and have used it a bit, but being more familiar with PS I tend to go back to it most of the time.
    If I had more spare time on my hands I'd mess about with it more and learn it better.
    About the only place my version falls over is that it doesn't support RAW file conversion from my DSLR's. Newer versions of Gimp may be different though.
    Happy to do a few more pics if you'd like.

    Version 2.6 doesn't have a RAW option but a plugin is available which enables support for some cameras although I've never tried it. It's called UFRaw.





    EDIT I just installed Gimp 2.8 and in the open file section it has an option to open Raw image data (*.data).
