LOL Mango has found a thread where he is the only expert.
Great Pics, i only knew the model t ford, those cars are way past my time.
Pretty interesting hearing Mango talk about models with only 2 wheel brakes, its amazing how far things have progressed with time, back in those days they probably thought Wow its got brakes on 2 wheels.....
Yawn, wake up , another day
Hillview, I am using the "uploade image" link on the toolbar and then using direct link and putting image tags ( [img]h*tp://webaddressofpic.com[/img] ) on the ends.
Maybe some WW2 trucks today ?
This truck was a truck that my grandafther had a fair bit of the time in New Guinea. It appears in a few photos I have and I know its the same truck due the missing bit in the grill. He is the one that is roughly in the middle front with no hat.
My grandfather is the one at the drivers door with hand on mirror
And one last one for this morning..... Syria 1941
So there ya go Mango, see what you can work out from that collection

Post 25 is trucks coming out of (I think) Puckapunyal area via rail. You can spot Victoria on the side of the rail truck.

All I know about this one is that it is is New Guinea and that "Peggy" was a truck he reguarly used.
No idea on location here, presumably Australia ?
Can you imagine the work these trucks would do ? I'll post up a section of his diary soon that over a week he describes the maintenence done on the 3 tonne chev he drove in the Middle East.
And possibly last one for the day as I have to go out, a licence belonging to my great grandfather from WW2 years, presumably for fuel rations ? I am sure Mango will know something about it.
Godzilla (11-07-13)

Great pics admin.
A wonderful recording of family history and history in general.
I found this old photo the other year going through old family photos, not sure who's or what car it is, but i really like the picture. A couple of photos i hoped to find but didn't were of my pop's car that was converted during the war to run on coal, and some of his motorbikes.
