Default PLEASE I NEED URGENT HELP! My Smartwi keep disconnecting & showing 'scramble channel'

    Gooday Everyone...
I am Tony from Nigeria. I am new here and on reading different post and comments on this forum, i decided to become a member of yhis family due to the unity and assistance that is being shown by all. I have a problem that i would be happy if someone can give me solutions to. My brother has a football viewing center where
he shows football matches and we make use of Smart-wi I(version 8 card) to display
matches in many T.V sets. But right now we are faced with a big
problem. Of recent, when the smartwi is on and working, within 20 minutes, it will bring scramble channel and we will have to off and on it again for it to work. And this normally happens when 2 or more T.v are connected to it But for just 1 T.v, it doesn't do such. Someone said it's because our Smart-wi software is outdated and we need to
download the latest software. We did that today but the problem is still occuring.
So please everyone is it a software or firmware problem o what..?

Sounds like your're using an Irdeto smart card and what's happening is the surf lock on the card is kicking in after 20 minutes. There is no known solution to your problem.

Hi Tony, unfortunately LeroyPatrol is right. If your provider uses the Irdeto2 encryption system, then the card itself has the counter-measure. The only way we can share Australian Irdeto2 services, is to use an older version card, or there seems to be a way of by-passing the surf-lock if you have an un-activated card. (new) Sorry but I'm not 100% sure how this is achieved either.

Just out of curiosity, is your service provider Multichoice Africa?
