Listen up everyone. go here.
i found the code for the Holden Barina 2006 tk model. The holden car was rebadged in Australia. This is not spam it works. I live in Sydney near balmain. Find the codes and enter them all. The radio allows you to enter as many times as u like. Enter all the codes and one will work. It took me around 5 mins. It will save you 90 bucks at holden and time. The holden barina in Australia is actually called Chevrolet Aveo in the usa. Its the exact same car.

I bought a '94 Rodeo some years ago & it's radio was locked, pain in the a*se trying to get it sorted.
Ended up throwing it in the bin.
Should have done that in the first place.

Hi Drummoyne & everyone,
Do you know if there is an easy way for me to find out my security code for my 2006 Holden Barina? I can provide the VIN if needed. I'm new to the site and I'm hoping I'm doing the right thing. My battery went flat last night. Its okay now but I can't use the stereo and I miss my music. Any help would be appreciated
Previous poster was spot on about the Barina TK being the same as the Chevy Aveo. For some reason they were ?unable? to post the link but if you do a search for something like aveo_factory_radio_unlock_code you will find another forum with the following codes:
1156, 1165, 1325, 2145, 2151, 2152,
2253, 2346, 2453, 2654, 3116, 3221,
3241, 3251, 3265, 3346, 3451, 3462,
4136, 4314, 4316, 4362, 4513, 4524,
4853, 5241, 5253, 5312, 5436, 5445,
5624, 5813, 6361, 6451, 6645, 8253
Many people (including myself) have had success with these codes. Mine worked on the fourth number I tried. It seems that unlike other systems these units don't lock you out after a certain number of incorrect tries - you just keep trying until you hit the correct one.
As others have posted in various forums "Who would want to steal the factory radio in most cars anyway?" Seems that in this case it is at best to discourage amateur thieves, at worst yet another way for dealers to make money.
I will be trying these numbers tomorrow. Thank you, have been trying to get the number for a few week to no avail. Bit off never supplying the number in the first place then expecting you to pay for it.
I think that the security codes are a throwback to the days when radios were an aftermarket fitment to cars. People, then, used to steal good radios because there was a market for them. Now they are like a five cent piece, how many would bend down to pick one up, let alone break into a car to steal one.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
I tried these numbers and after entering, I think, the 10th code........................IT WORKED.
Thank you for just saving me an $80 quote to get my stereo working.
Gotta be a b/s post.. a 2006 Barina that still runs? yeah pull the other one.. hahahaha
