Vu+Duo Ultimo image

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me whats the best image to use with my Vu+Duo ultimo?
At the moment I am using Black hole 1.7.9 but everytime Im changing channels the mesege appears
on screen Service not found SID not found in PAT but the picture is comming its stays on the screen for 5 seconds

Google "SID not found in PAT", it is a huge issue with the BH images.
What services do you find this on, i have it on most of the Optus D2 channels, as there have been so much moving around of late.

Try and new Scan put select "Clear before Scan" and see if that helps.

As for Best image, thats entirely up to you.
Seems the popular ones are Pli, VIX or BH

I have tried BH 2.0.3 on my VU +Uno and have now moved to VIX as I think it is more stable.

in that case I wouldn't necessarily blame that on your firmware
tvplus have been farking around with their channels for quite some time now

I did try to clear before scan as oceanboy mentioned and it did fix the problem

I have installed latest VIX firmware but when go in the menu I cant get full screen on the tv try the setting but no luck,does anyone know where is the problem

Never had that problem
Enigma Wizard takes you through Video set up on a new install. No matter which image you choose.

What method of connection are you using?
What TV is it?

I am using hdmi cable and the tv is samsung plazma generation 8 even when you scroll in the channels list you cant see the first letters but if i use bh image its fine only vix image gives me that problem

Seems strange you can't adjust a setting to resolve that problem.
Have you tried the "stretch to fit screen" option
Or played with the 4/3 .... 16/9 settings?

Out of interest, have you tried Pli to see if the same problem exists?

Try Menu-Standby/Restart-Restart enigma as you sometimes get white horizontal bands on either side when it first loads.
Don't know why it does this if this is the problem.
If you are trying to adjust the user interface, try Menu-System-User Interface-position setup. This will allow you to adjust the user interface position so you can see all the info.

google your tv's make and model along with the term overscan then turn this off from the tv's end.

the reason you only see this with vix images is because we only use HD skins that dont try to hide overscan unlike all others. if thats not possible as a last resort adjust your osd position.

what ever you do i highly recommend you read up on overscan and why you should turn it off.

Thanks for that Dude. Mine is a panasonic and turning off overscan and then setting the OSD to default has the display set correctly.
