What browser?
Did you follow the "upgrade to latest version" link on the swans page and install from the adobe page. When completed did the Adobe test flash play at the top of the page. You should then close your browser and open again and it should work... just did it on a new PC here.
There is a flash version test page here:

i have IE7 plus i just installed firefox to see if that would work tried version test on both they said version win 9.0.1115.0 debug player no
onIE7 video encoder true audio encoder true local file i/o disabled false
Do you get most of the web page displayed excepting the couple flash windows?
It would be time to test your java...
Go here and click test installation.

that's correct 2 flash windows wont open checked java latest version ok
on ie7 swans site says java disabled dont know how to enable
thanks for all your help
Go to Tools--> Options and the Security Tab should have Medium-high for the Internet. Also check the Advanced tab and scroll down to Java and see if the box is checked.
Are you running some sort of third party firewall or security application, maybe it is stopping flash or java working?

goto Internet options -> Advanced -> Reset button.
Restart IE.
This would reset IE to its original settings...that includes the Microsoft JVM and Javascript settings....
