Default Tomtom One XL nolonger starting up properly

I have an onld fist generation TomTom One XL 32mb that was working fine until recently.

Now whenever I turn it on it boots up and just displays choose language. When I press any button it just shows No or yes for only the language at he top of this list but will not allow me to continue, other than to turn of and restart the TomTom. All this does is bring up the choose language screen again..

Was running navcore 9.450. Which I though might have been corrupt. So I reformated the SD memory card and reloaded the software. But again all it does is display the choose language screen as above and does not allow me to progress any further.

After reinstalling the software on the SD card. Then updating via tomtom home. The tomtom now start up displays the tomtom logo then keeps restarting in an endless loop. The only way to stop this is to use the reset pin to turn it off.

An ideas on how to fix my TomTom?

If a Navcore installed through Home won't work either...
All you can try is a hard reset followed by the TT clear flash tool.
After that let Home install the NC and check again.
If still messed up you might have to look on buying a 720 or 730 as a replacement.

Thanks Downunder35m I managed to finally get it working in the end.

I had downloaded two of your 9.4xx navcores that you posted last year which I still had.

Navcore v9.450 - with ram boost/swap file for 32mb ram tomtom: This was the one I was running but when I did a fresh install it just got stuck in an endless loop just displaying the tomtom logo then rebooting.

Navcore v9.485: When I reinstalled this one on the SD memory card, copied over the map and activated it everything worked. I was able to run through the initial startup setup without any freezing and everything seems to be working fine now.

Not sure what the difference is between the two navcores. Or if newer one has the swap file or ram boost enabled for 32mb tomtom units. But at least my tomtom is now woeking eith the later version navcore.

I think it is a compatibily issue.
So far I had several reports that the XL models are having troubles with the new NC's.
Seems the 9.16x, 9.171 and 9.485 are the ones to look for on XL models - I will kepp that in mind now.
Thanks for your feedback in that matter and enjoy your new maps!
