I've just bought a car and the seller said he would throw in a TT. Sure enough there it was in the glove box but no cables/Sd card/CD/instructions. He's gone to ground so I'm stuck with this thing that i don't know how to use or set up or if I need to get bits I haven't got.........It's a ONE 2nd Edition - 1GB Model 4EN42 Z1230. Can i use any USB if I can find one to fit? I can get a SD card but how do I get stuff on it? Can I get the bits I need anywhere? Is it a lost cause?............thanks for any help you might offer!

Your best place to start is the TomTom website.
You can buy any accessories you require from stores which sell TT, and there's heaps of sellers on ebay.
I'm not familiar with your particular model, but every TT I've used/seen uses a standard mini USB cable, or a charging dock.
You will probably need the cable/charging dock so you can power the device up to see what's in it, then go from there.

It should be TT VIA XXX, which means any USB cable that fit will charge it - but that is the end of the story.
For everything else you need to use Tomtom and buy it.
No updates as we know are possible.
If you can charge it and it works put it on Ebay and get a 720 or 730 instead.
