Toyota Aurion: Anyone know how to remove the cover over cigarette lighter?

Hi all ...

I want to permanently install our 7" GPS unit in the car and the best spot for it is below the climate controls where there is a spare DIN with the cigarette lighter/ashtray below.

I would like to remove the ashtray cover which is one of those smooth 'slidey' types (no idea how to explain it any better ).

Can anyone give advice on how to safely take the cover off and also how to remove the face plate on the spare DIN mount? At some point down the track I may want to put things back to normal, so I don't want to destroy anything !!

I dont know your car exactly but after making my car pc I learned there are in dash kits. Cant find one for the Aurion (prob cos its aus based) but if you look at other Toyotas - Camry? (or even other manufacturers)
