    Just a very amatuer looking for some information about which digital decoder to get that maybe incorperate my austar card and the card with the vansayt system

    Given your question is about satellite, I've moved it here.

    There's only some very old Austar cards that can be used in third party equipment... V4.1 I think (someone can confirm that).

    If you are talking about a VAST decoder, you can't use any other card than the VAST card that came with that box.

    Most people who want to watch Austar (now Foxtel) have to take the Austar/Foxtel decoder with them when travelling.
