Default Motorola XTS3000 UHF cps hack ?

Does anyone here have the time or can provide help with making the xts3000 UHF R Split go up to 490mhz. Currently it accepts 482mhz. This is a CPS mod with a hex editor which I have no skills in.

Ahah! Now that I am a little wiser after using Google to find out what "tapatalk" is, I conclude that you are using a mobile 'phone or tablet device. It's not the easiest way to make your way around a forum.

If you using a tablet device why don't you use a web browser? They are available for all tablet operating systems - probably for mobile 'phones too.

You can't beat a computer and keyboard for convenience and speed though - especially for adult-size fingers!

482.000mhz is equal to 80 BC BA 1C

    490.000mhz is equal to 80 CE 34 1D
    A good program is XVI32

I have made the mods for you as per your requirements.

    Cheers

Default Xts3000 out of band help

Hi all I've also got a xts3000 I want to program for cb, but unfortunately it stops at 477mhz in cps,
I've read and tried modifying the .exe with hex edit but doesn't seem to change anything (the fact that I have no idea about hex editing isn't helping) so long story short I need to be able to get to 478mhz I'm using cps version r05.03.00 any help would be greatly appreciated

TBH I'd be VERY surprised if you get 490 out of an R split. 477 was not a huge issue but 490 is REALLY stretching it.

To give some support to this, my old MCS2000 mobiles R split I used to use (still in the cupboard here atm ready to move some on to needier homes) would give 23w odd on say 413mhz (RHM units) but on 477 would only give out 13-18w. Even dropping to 474mhz was enough to up the power a fair bit meaning that 477 was at that massive drop off curve. The XTS3000 R would be very similar.

If you want 477 + 490 then you would be better with an S split.

yup, a s split hacked down to 435 works rather well for both amateur and commercial use.
