    Thumbs up Australia 915.5074 & 915.5076 spring maps - 23rd August 2013

Here are the latest (spring 2013) v915 Australia maps.

To activate a map, extract with WinRaR or similar and copy the folder to the root of the device or SD card. Download the LATEST version of FastActivate then run FastActivate.exe from inside the map folder. The latest version can be downloaded from the FastActivate thread .
Please note: I have already placed the meta.txt file inside the map folder, so even an older version FastActivate may be able to activate it.

    Download links:

    Default Dir name?

Am I supposed to copy the contents of the Australia_905_4757 directory into the "Australia" directory? Or just copy the Australia_905_4757 directory onto the SD card, and leave Australia there?

You can leave the existing map folder there and add the new one (in a separate folder) or delete the existing one and only have the new one.

Don't forget to back up the entire drive before making any changes.

My device does not have an SDcard or facilities to have one. It's all internal memory.

But will back up the entire device before applying updates.

Should these maps work on a carminat? I'm not sure how to tell what navcore my friends Renault Megane is using. Just wondering if Carminat counts as a WinCE or PDA device.

I tried the 5074 map but after re-inserting it into her car it said the map was not compatible with the device. My friend had to take off before I could try the 5076 one.

I connected my computer to the device to check the system info and noted the following information.

Could anyone let me know if the Tom Tom XXl 540 I have has been updated?

The 5074 map is working perfectly on my old XL One, thanks. I do notice however when I connect to TomTom Home, and try to "Operate My Device", it gives an error saying "You have an invalid version of the TomTom application installed on your TomTom device".

I used FastActivate (the latest version), and did a patch TomTom Home, it said it was patched successfully. Is this a known issue, or something I need to fix/live with?

EDIT: Solved...I had copied the new navcore over the top of what was already on the device. Instead I wiped the device, installed the new navcore, booted it to allow ttgo.bif to be created, then did fastactivate, and now I can operate via TomTom home.

    @ juzdownunder,

When you said "I wiped the device"

Do you mean you deleted the old Navcore and replaced it with the new Navcore? Then run FastActivate?

    @ mtv,

I need some clairification regarding Safety Cam update.

I have the latest Autralian Map version for my TomTom device and navcore 9.510. I have noticed the SafetyCam in the map is a bit old...it is year ending 2010.

The FastActivate folder I downloaded contains FastActivate Application, Integrated_meta text document and a Help Folder with instructions in various languages.

My map is updated, Tom Tom Home is updated, Navcore is updated. I have no idea whether there are any updates for Australia POI as I could not see any POI's for Australia on the forum. SafetyCam needs to be updated.

With respect to the FastActivate application, I understand I need to run it to patch SafetyCam but do I need to patch the map as well as Navcore if they are already up to date?

    Cheers, Bondy99

POI's are not available as an update.
    You can add your own.
Safety cams from TT are updateable but you have to purchase them.
As previously mentioned, download the safety cam files, put them in your map folder and run fast activate.
If you've already patched the map, navcore and TT home, you don't have to update them again until you update them again.
It doesn't hurt to run fastactivate again even if things are already patched.

Any suggestions to help someone struggling

    I have a 32Mb One XL (4.3" Screen).

Currently running Navcore v8.562 with a Australia 880.****map.
This Navcore works ok most of the time but gets very glitchy in built up areas.
Sometimes the voice tells me to turn after I have gone past the intersection!

I would like to update to a newer, less glitchy Navcore and a newer Aussie map.

I have installed Navcore 9.170, but then I hit a wall trying to install a recent map.
I have tried various 91*.8888 maps and the latest Fastactivate, but each time I try to activate the map I get a .DCT error.
Have followed the update guides to the letter, but still can't get FA to activate the maps.

    Any suggestions??
