    Default PIR Wired With Tamper..??

    hey guys i was teling someone how i thought PIRs are wired etc and drew a photo this is a PIR wired with Alarm and Tamper....


    way i thought it all worked was..... panel sees 2K2 and is happy

    when alarm is sees 2K2 + 4K7 = 6K9
    Open = Tamper.?

    This is a Double End of Line resistor network. DEOL. Monitors 4 states of the device.

    Normal Condition = 2K2
    Alarm Condition = 6K9
    Tamper Condition = Open Circuit
    Tamper Condition = Short Circuit

    So This Is Correct Hey..?... Best way to wire them up..? Coz someone told me that Pir's have a NO and NC closed contacts and i was like ...Eh ok.. But dont think they do..

    Some devices can be either N/O or N/C, but most commonly in PIR's it's N/C.
