Actually Kaspersky is being recommended more often nowadays and it doesn't slow down the computer like norton does. But I don't understand why the customers insist on Norton

Only $85 for three users at PC superstore
It's called "marketing". Clever, but very misleading. When I explain to people how Nortons doesn't actually protect them, they are totally amazed.
As for AV, I put NOD32 on clients' computers. I use it myself. If it's good enough for me, it's good enough for them. So far it's proved reliable - if the day comes, as it did with McAfee, when it doesn't do what it should, then I'll use something else.
best price for Kaspersky is
about $26 for the full internet security product.
but you must be a dealer like me
Free: Avast and Spybot Search & Destroy
Paid: Kaspersky Internet Security
We hook customers HDD's up to our workshop machine which is loaded with Avast free edition and scan. No need for a bootable program as the HDD isn't actually running an operating system.Which program do you use to scan an infected computer? and do you use a bootable program?
Never heard of it.What do you think of AVIRA suite?
Kaspersky. Everyone says Kaspersky because it really is that far ahead of the others.which antivirus software do you rate as top?
Worst antivirus is Norton by far. We had a customers PC in near the end of last year with NAV2k8 on it. We ran all the latest updates for it and all the windows updates. We then ran a full scan on the hard drive and it came up with no threats at all. The customer also had OneCare Live on their system too and that kept on popping up with issues but could not fix them. We knew one of them had to be lying so we plugged their HDD into our system with the FREE Avast on it and it removed over 100 threats. Please share your opinion and experience, Cheers

A great program for finding and removing spyware, adware & malware is Malwarebytes.
It found stuf that Spybot S&D could not..
It has helped me with many jobs for clients and it is FREE to use..

Kaspersky. Buy a licence cheap on Ebay.
Nod32 has never let me down yet ?

6 months ago I would have voted for Kaspersky but it's become a little bloated and resource hungry of late, especially if you run it tight.
I'm now a fan of Nod32.
As for Avira Suite, as discussed in Overall, Avira's suite proved highly effective at the central task of virus blocking. But its lack of features makes it more of an anti virus plus program than a full-fledged suite.
And the top AV, I guess consensus would demand I say Kaspersky however try as I might to bend to the will of the masses I still prefer to (along the lines of that great Australian euphanism 'Suck it and See') try all the free ones I can find then buy the one that suits me best.
The one that suits me best is Nod32.
Trend micro Internet security.
using it for years for myself and my customers.
$49.00 for 3 users.
